Thousands of London residents went along to a rented out local cricket pitch for a Eurovision party this afternoon. They played strange music, danced on the outfield and had a great time.
The signs included a Eurovision logo, a green, red and white flag and a photograph of couple of singers along with writing in some foreign script.
A thorough investigation showed the flag to be Bulgarian and the two performers the Bulgarian entry in this week's contest. They should get a few points from the UK jury.

They will probably get more votes than Scooch's efforts...what a diabolically, cheesy song. Is this what people see Britain as being like???

I don't know what's worse people thinking the UK is like Scooch's entry or that the Irish are still diddly idling We should have a competition to see who'll do worse!

I absolutely LOVE Eurovision!........ The best thing has to be Terry Wogan's commentry though!.
Will soooo be watching on Saturday night, will have to record the first part as I'm at the Beeb watching Any Dream!.
I'm showing my age now but I remember watching when Bucks Fizz won in 81!.
Our entries a bit pants but look who won last year!....... There maybe hope for a cheesy British song!...... However due to political issues I think we'll more likely be down the bottom of the board!.

Eurovision Song Contest: Top 10This is who the BBC think could be in with a shout... I think Switzerland could win it They look like a typical Eurovision type act and since its such a politically neutral country, no-one really dislikes them in they same way people dislike us!

Switzerland didn't get through the semi-final. Nor did Belgium, Malta, Denmark, Israel, Iceland, Norway, Cyprus...... in fact not a single western European country got through.

From what I saw last night the best song was from Hungary with a good blues number, well sung and no gyrating dancers. This means of course that it won't win as it is probably too good.

my favourite was Hungary too.
I am amazed that Denmark and Israel didn't get through, then again, who would vote for them?
