Well - the ladettes won the first round - teaching the blokes ow tuh speak common - and then getting a trophy pair of pants.

The teachers should be ashamed of themselves letting things get so out of hand - or maybe they were told to by the TV crew.

Indeed. I love the way they leave them all alone (apart from the cameras) and then act all shocked when they behave badly

I laughed at that bit. Not at what they were doing, but the fact it looked totally set up to leave them with the booze in the first place

Sorry this is a bit rushed but here's a brief article on it:

I read an article previewing the series which did question whether the drunken food fight was set up for the cameras.  As the writer pointed out, the same thing happened in the previous two series, so you'd think the teachers would have known not to leave the girls unsupervised at that stage (or, at the very least, would have known what kind of behavior to expect from the girls if they did leave them alone with access to alcohol).  It did seem a pretty pointless exercise - the ladettes had only been at Eggleston Hall for a few days at that point and clearly wouldn't have lost any of their ladette mindset at that early stage.

Wouldn't surprise me, but to be honest I don't care if it is or not. It was still amusing
