Tonight's show runs from 6:15 to 7:30 on BBC1, and having established the the precedent of showing the results on Sunday (even though everyone knows the results show is recorded straight after the live show on Saturday ) this week they have moved the results show back to Saturday from 9:50 to 10:15. I much prefer to have the results show on the same night as the live show so I hate having the results show on Sunday, but what I hate even more is them chopping and changing like this

It's good there are now two songs again from each choir - last week's show plodded along too slowly.
The Welsh choirs were ahead of the pack this week - and they do seem to choose better music whereas the other seem to pick bog-standard pops songs routinely.
Only Men Aloud were excellent with Goldfinger and the arrangement was brilliant. O Fortuna from Ysgol Glanaethwy was another brilliant choice - and the arrangement was good.
I think the Bath choir deserve to go down the plughole tonight. I've had more than enough of that choirmaster and I doubt I'm the only one. He chose another soloist who can't sing that well. And the rest of them sang flat.
ACM may be safe as well this evening. But on their first song they had some grandad plonking randonly on a piano and the song was dreary. But their second song was better and could see them through.

I agree completely about Only Men Aloud! and Ysgol Glanaethwy and indeed City of Bath. I would go further about ACM's first song - it was screeched in parts at an unbelievable decibel level. Revelation should use "Fat Boy David's" brother far more - I thought that he had a far better voice. In my humble and inexpert opinion I would suggest Bath Male Choir and Revelation for the bottom two - and the judges saving Revelation again.

I agree with both the above, I thought O Fortuna and Goldfinger were far and away the best performances of the night and City of Bath are frankly boring while Grenville seems to think he has a lot more musical acumen than he appears to have, and he is not very good at all at picking his soloists.

I hope Only Men Aloud! and Ysgol Glanaethwy are the final two choirs standing at the end of the series. They are the two who have made the best choices of music so far and delivered the best performances. If Ysgol Glanaethwy choose a suitable piece from Era in later rounds they could win by a bigger distance than Becky Adlington. But Only Men Aloud! will provide some good competition for them.

Loved Goldfinger Only Men Aloud and Ysgol Glanaethwy seem to be way ahead of the others, even though the judges seemed to love ACM tonight. City of Bath need to go

The judges always seem to love both ACM and Revelation however good or bad they are.

Totally agree! Bath MVC should have gone weeks ago; they are often flat, their harmonies are simplistic and I'm convinced the only reason they are still there is because Watson has wanted them there. Let's hope the public consist of musically aware people and not just thousands of chavs from Bath casting multiple votes! Ysgol Glan were superb tonight - hope they get through!

The only choir I have seen Russel Watson really fighting to keep in was the Brighton Gay Men's Choir. He doesn't seem to have made any special effort regarding Bath Male Choir as far as I can recall. They certainly couldn't have gone in last week's show as they were not in the bottom two but may very well be tonight. It would then depend who the other choir was. If it was Revelation the answer might not be as clearcut as they have been dire for the last two weeks.

Good result tonight! Ysgol Glanaethwy, Only Men Aloud and ACM got through. Bath MVC and Revelation have to have a 'sing off'' - hopefully, it'll be Goodbye to Bath! Edit: Good! Bath have gone, and not before time!

Yet again Revelation comes up with a soloist supported by backing singers A choir should not be about just one person

The results show was a bit predictable. But why did Sharon D Clarke pause for about 40 seconds before saying whether she would save the Bath choir or Revelation? Everyone knew who she would vote for.
Replaying Goldfinger again it is claer the arrangement is what made the performance. They started with the James Bond Theme and segued into Goldfinger, much as they probably did in the movie soundtrack. But the arrangement after that was very creative.
Ysgol Glanaethwy probably pick better music from the sources available and sing it well but they are outdistanced by the creativity of Only Men Aloud.

I was patently obvious who the judges would save - but if they had actually gone by the sing off only (as they state that they do) it might have been the other way around. Bath Male Choir gave their best performance of the night in the sing off and Revelation were just the same so in essence perhaps there was an element of bias in the decision.
Clarke was never going to vote for anybody else and Watson has appeared to favour them for much of the series - but obviously the public aren't so enamoured!!

I agree with everyone!! Bath MVC did very well but they were falling behind the pack as were Revelation. I predicted these two in the sing off after the first show and also that Sharon would vote for Revelation. She is SO predictable. I am amazed the judges are so pro ACM; there were some really dodgy tunings at the top of the range (and screechy voices). They always appear to perform up beat numbers, and did you see the first number where the vast majority of the singers were waving their arms around - is this to ensure they keep in beat because they aren't dancing?? Also the soloists always seem to go into closing the eyes singing mode. I remember at college being told not to do that because it excluded the audience and is self indulgent... What do you think?

Closing your eyes is TOTALLY self-indulgent !!! But I think that ACM are popular with the judges because the atmosphere they create in the studio (which is presumably diiferent than on telly). Bath - thank God they've gone !! And that pompous Grenville !! And the people of Bath will be saved from the naked performance (clearly a desperate cheap shot to attract more votes) And I never want hear the expression "wall of sound" again........................
