Alexandra Burke - Part 2

Of the four left in the show Alexandra is the only one to have consistently improved.  She should pick up votes from Ruth supporters to see her through to the final but it still may not be enough to win.  

Simon Cowell was on Steve Wright's Radio 2 show today and said her second song on Saturday was the first time he had got emotional this series.  Probably saw all the pound signs flashing in front of his eyes

Personally I saw for the first time what people have been saying to me in private.... 

That she sounds like a man in drag....     

It's outrageous I know... but what the heck... you can't beat healthy debate 

Her voice is gruff at best, it's 10-a-penny at second best, she was dismissed by the judges as being bland, not unique, having NO personality..  being NOWHERE in the same leaqgue as Diana...........   but next minute..... She IS... great   

First impressions are everything....           there ae 25 million Alexandra singers in the world.......       

She bores me to shreds, her fans will obviously love her....... but she's BLAND BLAND BLAND......  and if I'm honest, I'd sooner have some Night Nurse to send me to sleep....

yes first impressions are everything lets go from her audition this year which is if were referring to the judges, did the show not say afterwards that they kept going on about hmmm who ALEXANDRA not Diana, I'm not bashing Diana but since she has just been compared then il have to go with that.You're right she is not in the same league vocally alex is miles ahead of diana and the judges know that , hence why they are starting to give the right comments.they know who will make the most money, be the most marketable in and outside europe and have the most longevity-alex.
yes there may already be 10,000 singers out there like alex, more so than Diana and Diana may be a bit different right now, but you need to ask why is there so many out there like Alex and Diana's is more rare? because Alex's style is what sells and what sticks and different styles are what is a craze one minute forgetten the next.

i'm not ranting at you here, but this is the same argument that comes up, but sure enough there is room for another rnb artist in the music biz and like alex or not her voice ain't gruff or 10 penny.

As for ten a penny  .... you naughty boy .... and the judges have never referred to Alexandra as Bland

Not this time me 'ol pal..... I've got the winner, and it sure feels good... 

Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Alex, it's just that she does NOTHING to excite me... hence what she was told by the judges the first 3 weeks..... that she doesn't stand out from the pack..... unlike Diana...  ... 3 weeks in a row. 
It must have hurt her.... in fact it did, 'cos she said so on her VT... the big ninny.

So suddenly, somebody's invented a "bubbly" personality for her....     ... Well done the inventors....  ... that musta been one helluva challenge 

Simple Constructive criticism by the judges those first 3 weeks...     ....... then she was given the confidence boost when Diana was poorly, and she finally had nothing to compete against, so she shone.... slightly....    .... dimly....    like the last flickering embers of the only lit candle in a darkened room. 

Once Diana resumes normal service.... Alex will be forgotten again.... mark my words.... Mystic Mikey has spoken......

Mikey, i dout even you can deny that Diana has been rubbish for the past few weeks. It's not Alexandra's fault she has been getting better while Diana has been getting worse i remember seeing a clip of her when she had just found out that she was getting into cheryl's house and she seemed very bubbly then. And when she was on xtra factor in the first few weeks she was just as bubbly...

Everytime i watch toxic i fall in her love with her a little she looks fantastic in the black leg things and her dancing and singing is just wow

I can't wait for saturday to roll around so i can vote for her again

Do you remember the comments Leona got in her first few weeks ... very similar to those Alex got .... and she is now Simon's cash cow and will be for quite a while!  Alex is being set up to be the next Leona and I think she will do a good job for SCs bank balance (regardless of whether she wins XF) .... he will take Diana too ... even if she is a flash in the pan she will still make him a cool few bucks!

The only losers in XF are the contestants (in the long run) .... oh and you MIKEY ....  regularly xxxxx

Well he didn't look bored i guess, but Simon isn't the sort of person to cry etc. he seemed very sincear and knock back by it.

He WANTS to get emotional I suspect....... but his "Professionalism" gets in the way

Although he is bumping up Alexandra at the moment , he is ALWAYS looking elsewhere... and although he knows there MIGHT not be a lot of money in EUGHON, he knows that he MAY get the Christmas number One with him...     , but he is definitely LEONA obsessed for reasons unknown.

I notice everyone's coming out in force to back Alexandra to win. The Sun and Mirror are backing her to win, Brian Freedman was literally begging people on TM to vote for her, etc, etc. Don't know about anyone else, but it's starting to sound a little bit desperate. I suspect everyone knows Alexandra is way.......








































.........down the voting sheets and now they are desperate to drum up some support. Bless. Although, from my experience of the Great British public, they dont like being told what to do and if they keep hearing this ''you must do this, you must do that'' mantra, eventually they'll stick two fingers up and say ''stuff you!'' (or words to that effect). I hope this support continues, it'll mean Diana will go into the final as the underdog. Just like Wimbledon vs Liverpool in 88, and Histon vs Leeds last Sunday. The underdog always has the last bark. WOOF!

True. Just like if everyone votes for Diana and she wins she shall be the rightful winner  I'm just wondering why they need to drum up so much support for Alexandra  Dont get me wrong, i hope Diana does go in to the final as the underdog.

I think Diana lost a lot of support when she got the bye  into the next round and Laura went out.

Maybe the support is because for the second year running they dont want a crap singer to win it? I think Alex is a boring singer but IMO she is a far superior singer to anyone left in the competition tho.

I dont think its drumming up support because she may be way down the voting list, I think its just fans trying to make sure the "deserved" winner wins this time, and we dont get a repeat of last year. Dont get me wrong, I would say any of them are deserved winners, purely for staying the whole way and getting enough fans to get them the title. However, I think Alexandra has been the most consistant of them all and the only one thats really came out and got better and better and prooved shes ready, Diana, to me seems to have got worse, Eoghan has improved yes, but he still isnt anything special, and JLS too have gone downhill. And I think thats what a lot of Alexandra fans see the situation as, one glaring winner in the shape of Alexandra so they're just trying to not have a Leon situation again.

Thats how I see it anyway..
