Dazed & confused!

An alternative review to Burkemania;

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/reviews/album-alexandra-burke-overcome-sycosony-1805040.html

At last, a newspaper not singing off the same Cowell orchestrated hymn sheet

How can anybody take a reviewer who describes Leona Lewis as "an unfathomably dull Whitney Houston clone" seriously?

That person is clearly a first rate idiot?....which gives the rest of his article as much journalistic impact as the "Dandy"?

I agree, what nonsense.  Leona could have sung Whitney under the table on Sunday.

He also called Alexandra a Leona clone.  They are streets apart and don't sound anything like each other.

I think Alexandra sang BOTH Whitney and Cheryl under the table..

I see CC has gone to #1 on ITunes.

I much prefer Alexandra's voice to Leona's all though I like both of them. That said.....I find Alex more interesting as an artiste. But that guy was an idiot saying that!

I must say I wasn't Alexandra's biggest fan during last years shows, I was team Diana! BUT I do like Alexandra n love her new song! Her performance on the xfactor show the other week was outstanding, by far better than robbie, cheryl or even whitney! She kicked butt!  Clap

I'm not overly fond of her in that shoot either

Alex performing Hallelujah and Bad Boys at BBC Switch looks like she had a great time

Didn't really like Alex in the shows. My least fav girl. Give me Laura, Diana or Ruth!

Didn't like her version of Hallelujah!

However, bad boys is a really good track and she performed it really well on the X Factor.  Clap

Just a shame it didn't stay like that.
Everything looked perfect until that trash "Fight For This Love" took its place.

Alexandra's getting ready to start her European tour! Clap Clap

She's starting to do pretty well internationally too:

BAD BOYS ITUNES CHART - Januray 17th

Norway = 11 (—-) Longest Nonemover
Sweden = 16 (DOWN 1)
Netherlands = 13 (—-)
Belgum = 27 (UP 3)
Finland = 18 (UP 5)

Denmark = 78 (—-)
Italy = 82 (DOWN 2) Biggest Loser
Switzerland = 28 (UP 7) Biggest Gainer

An article on Alex in Haiti

Quote
The singer flew to ruined capital Port-au-Prince to see for herself the devastation the massive earthquake caused.

She sobbed while cradling Haiti's miracle boy Kiki Joachin - plucked from the rubble after days trapped underground - on learning he had lost three of his six brothers and sisters in the quake.

Good to hear about the 50 top selling artists of the decade. Well done Alexandra, well deserved!

And I just saw her in Haiti on the news, she's such a genuine, lovely person, love her.  Clap

It's strange how we all think differently.  I can't warm to her at all. I find her a bit of a diva and can't find anything genuine about her.
