Anyone else heard about this?

Quote
"The boy sung that MJ song in front of thousands when he toured the UK, Germany and Holland playing the young Michael Jackson in the Thriller Live Musical!!!

Shaheen is far from amateur and has also been in Torchwood, on Children's BBC and is at stage school so no wonder he's got so much confidence! He also played Troy in Grandpa in my Pocket on CeeBeebies on BBCTV!"

I read that on a website which i cant remember now. :|

I could tell it was a setup but i dont really care tbh. The boy has talent, hes only 12 so why not apply? Maybe he can't get a big enough break and this will surely provide it!

I don't really like him I'm never a fan of the kiddie acts. But he is really good, though I can't see him beating Susan Unsure

I don't like children acts either.  But I think he might have some competition from an even younger black girl who we haven't seen on the television yet.

Can't wait to see who you mean!!!

It is interesting that it is still such early days and yet Susan has been ear-marked as the winner.  We haven't seen the rest of the competition.

He's good for his age, but that is the problem - he doesn't have the maturity or power in his voice that an adult has - plus he has that cheesy stage school smile when he sings that kids who go to stage school seem to have.

To be fair, everyone has to start somewhere, and the manner in which he sung that second song on his audition, I thought was very mature.  He wasnt exactly Jimmy Osmond singing Long Haired Lover From Liverpool was he....

I'd read somewhere that he was already performing in major stage and TV roles - I thought the whole audition was very staged and to be honest I wasn't impressed with the whole Simon playing the "do you have another song card".

Yes - He can sing but not my sort of thing and I would rather listen to Susan Boyle any day of the week.

He reminds me of David Archuletta, except worse and more annoying some how.

"And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" is a song I know very, VERY well, I have heard so many versions of it and Shaheen's was good but not great.

Look at Bianca Ryan in 2006, at age 11

My favourite act is Diversity.  I have never seen anything like it before, they are absolutely stunning.

p.s.  "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" has been done so much I am so worried Connie Talbot is going to record it.... and change the lyrics to "you're the best Teddy Bear..."

He was brilliant and did Michael proud. I don't think the penny dropped with the likes of Larry King that Shaheen was going to be on the London show as he was recommending that record people sign him up

This is London

Quote
Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown Records who discovered Jacko, said he wanted to sign the youngster and make him a star.

Talk show veteran Larry King revealed how Gordy heaped praise on the youngster. King, who attended the memorial, said on CNN: "At the end when that young boy came out to sing I leaned over to Berry Gordy and asked him who he was. Berry said 'I have no cotton pickin' idea but I'd sign him tomorrow'."

Shaheen to Support Leona Lewis on tour.

LINK

That will be good for his future career.  Not quite Michael Jackson, but Leona will be touring worldwide.  Very pleased for him.
