Just wanted to share this with you, in Company magazine there's an interview with new girl group Girls can't catch. One of the 3 girls in it is called Daizy, and she says in the interview:

Quote
I entered the eurovision song contest last year! I was put in a girl group and we got to the last 7. Then I got to demo "my time" with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Diane Warren. That was a very special moment, and it was just before I got approached for this band.

As we all remember there were 2 girl band put together from individual girls, one rough band and one fresh band They both did not make it to the live tv shows. But apparently these bands (or the individual girls, that's not really mad clear) did get to sing "my time", even though we were to believe ALW was gong to write a song especially for the winner. This sheds some more light on the sudden inclusion of Jade as well.
I know a lot fo things are fake in tv and I totally accept that, but I'd rather they just "let it lie" (like the fact that they always forget to tell us that the Apprentice finalists work for SAS before he decides) than just blatant lies, like in this case.

Perhaps she did the demo when ALW and DW were working on the song for the three finalists?  It would make sense to have it recorded with a vocal, so that they could hear what it sounded like with a voice singing it - and they would have wanted to make sure they were happy with it before letting the finalists loose on it.

All the three finalists sang their own version of It's My Time.

Although ALW may have said he would write a song for the winner there was no continued pretence he would wait for the winner to be selected and then write the song just for them. In fact three acts each sang My Time in the final.

No we knew that, but I still find it interesting that perhaps the final 6 might have been chosen on their ability to sing "my time"as well. I don't think it's wrong to do so, I just think if this is true they wouldn't have bothered with the live weeks and just done 1 show with the winning song. Then again, I guess the shows were also meant to gain support for Eurovision.
Johartuk, smart thinking, that might've been the case.
