I know two people who are going to Britains Got Talent initial auditions in Birmingham on Thursday, so thought it is about time that Britain's Got Talent gets going again?

One of them is a pianist. He has to take an electric piano with him as they don't supply instruments at this stage.

If anyone reads this who has ever had to take anything big with them - can they advise on the practicalities please? Thanks

So! Some people have actually had an acknowledgement from their application to enter this year's competition, as opposed to being rudely ignored.  Well! That's a first.

I definitely think you should - but I think you're too late for 2010 - think most of the auditions have been and gone now

One of my second cousins auditioned for BGT this year. She's just waiting to hear if she's getting a call back for the judges auditions.

Just listened to a couple of your songs Benni and really enjoyed them. It is too late to enter this year, but as a singer there's the choice of Britains got Talent and the X Factor - and the X Factor applications are being accepted as we speak. Will let you all know if the people I know get to the next stage or not - should hear any day now - but certainly before the end of Jan. I've got tickets for the Birmingham auditions anyway, but presume that entrants can take people with them - watch this space!

Has anyone who auditioned in Birmingham in December via the normal application process heard yet if they've got through to the recordings in early Feb? Would be interested to know.
