PS Last night, we celebrated with the boys, friends and family. Later today, I would like to share with you a few surprising, hidden facets of JJ and James .

I know! James is a superb chef who earned two Michelin stars at the age of thirteen and a half and he's the real chef in the partnership while JJ stands behind the bar and shakes (cocktails, that is)

The fact that he is on the defensive in a piece that is supposed to be congratulating his pick says it all.

No amount of waffle, even from Blanc will change my mind.

In 2009, "The Restaurant" returned to BBC Two in a low budget format. This season has been much criticised for the poor standard of contestants, for neglecting the successful elements of previous series, and for Blanc choosing as the winner a team without any discernible culinary ability outside of making cocktails.

I sent a comment to his blog this morning asking when he was going to update us as promised. No response as yet. I can't even get into his website at all at the moment. It's probably gone into meltdown
