BUT, I won't forget this. To me it seems highly credible that those two morons were going to win from the start. When you look at the competition this year, and the competitors, you can see that barely any of them were going to be any good. Some proved to be a bit better as time went on, but every week dumb and dumber got through, no matter what cock ups they made.

I think they were in business, or promised, at the start. Then all that needed to happen was for them to find some contestants who were in the main useless, and hey presto they would win. Fell to bits a little when some of them proved to be better than these two twits.

Never will I watch this programme again, will never visit RB restaurant and neither will any of my family or colleagues.  And RB has gone strangely quiet, I wonder why!

And guess what; his blog entry on his website about JJ and James which was quoted on this board as well is not listed in his blog archive... He's done a new blog entry on the 31th of december, no word about JJ and James....

I finally had a reply - or rather, a non-reply - to the comment I sent to his website:

===========================================
Dear.....

I have been amazed and touched by the number of emails we have received following the conclusion of The Restaurant in December – some offering congratulations, others expressing disappointment in the final choice of winners. My busy schedule will not allow me to answer each message individually but I wanted to thank you for taking the time to write and for sharing your passion and interest in food with me. [I didn't. Basically I told him he was a plonker of the first order, I never said a word about food.] The casting of The Restaurant is the BBC’s responsibility and they adhere to strict guidelines. The winners chosen by my fellow judges, Sarah and David, and me, were the team we felt to have the most potential to develop, particularly in the current climate. Believe me, it will not be easy as we go into business together at a time when it is tougher than ever but I know that James & JJ, equipped already with their solid working relationship, resilience and positive attitude, will rise to the challenge.

I have a new cooking series, ‘Kitchen Secrets’, coming out next month on BBC2, which I hope those of you purely interested in wonderful cuisine will enjoy.

Sincerely

Raymond Blanc OBE

.... and how pretentious to sign himself 'OBE' Not amused!

I have a big problem about this new series - After The Restaurant debacle I swore I would not watch the new series and I held firm in that resolve but....

I have just discovered that the first programme, this coming Monday will be all about CHOCOLATE!!!!! I'm wavering.... Unsure
