This is what i read. Controller of Five, Richard Woolfe has confirmed that the channel is interested in acquiring Celebrity Big Brother. In August, after Channel 4 axed the Big Brother franchise, Woolfe said that they hed no immediate interest in taking on the show. ITV, Sky, UKTV and Virgin Media Television also ruled themself out. However, the success of this year's Celebrity Big Brother, which ended with Alex Reid as the winner, has changed the broadcaster's mind. Talking to The Guardian, Woolfe said: "Of course we'd be interested. "what it's absolutely shown is that we love to see celebrities facing jeopardy. There's absolutely life in the Celebrity Big Brother format. However, regarding the main summer series, Woolfe added: "The main show probably needs to go away and be rejuvenated." Meanwhile, Channel 4 has said that they're not going to rethink it's decision to axe the show. A spokesman for the broadcaster told the paper: "we have no regrets about our decision not to recommission. "The show hed come to a natural end on Channel 4 and we are excited about the new things we have planned." Sky has said that they're 'not in talks with Endemol while UKTV also added that they will not pick up the show. This month's Celebrity Big Brother, which critics including The Sun's Ally Ross has describe as the 'best series ever' has reversed a decline in popularity seen during Big Brother 10. It also saw a boost in media coverage of the show, which dramatically feel in the summer. Endemol UK's chief executive, Tim Hincks, has revealed they have a 'relaxed' attitude towards Big Brother. "We're focused on making it a brillant show for Channel 4 this summer," said Hincks. "I've no idea what we'll be doing in a couple of year's time. It doesn't feel any less relevant now. Would you be happy to see Celebrity Big Brother continue without the main series? I hope Channel 5 takes on Celebrity Big Brother Clap

I still think the whole thing has probably runs its course, but Celebrity Big Brother is definitely more interesting and watchable than the 'standard' version which seems to feature weirder and more dysfunctional people every year

I agree.  I wouldn't like to see the normal BB come back. Unless they go back to having less dysfunctional people with a wider age range.

The Celebrity BB has been much better. I would watch that again as long as the majority are celebrities I have heard of.

I think the run of three and half weeks is much better too, then the three months they do the normal one for.

If i hed to pick to bring back Celebrity Big Brother or Big Brother then i would pick Celebrity Big Brother Clap The normal Big Brother is getting less entertaining every year but can be still entertaining at times. I hope Channel 4 makes the last Big Brother really entertaining that gets alot of viewers watching Clap Maybe one day someone will bring back Big Brother and make the show better and success I really really hope that Channel 5 brings Celebrity Big Brother back next year Clap

I completely disagree, Celebrity Big Brother is one of my least favourite programmes out of my "favourite" programmes, if that makes any sense?

The normal Big Brother is so much more entertaining imo.

In fact, I think there has only ever been one CBB that I've ever really followed much. This series was pretty poor really.

It was definitely one of the better ones, ice

If they do resurrect 'normal' Big Brother then I hope they put a dozen 'normal' people in there

If they do bring back the normal Big Brother i hope they make the show like the first series. I cant remember very much about the first series apart from when Nasty Nick and the rest was around the table talking about what Nick done. From what ive heard the first series was really brillant. If Channel 5 takes on Celebrity Big Brother, i would like to now when, if its this year or next year? I really really hope they take on Celebrity Big Brother Clap
