I think Tommy's solos the past 2 weeks have been incredible. Plus, he's adapted better than anyone else to all the different styles, in my opinion.

So You Think You Can Dance finalist Robbie White has been forced to pull out of the show after he dislocated his shoulder during a practice session. White, one of four finalists, was told the injury could take months to heal. Poor guy to have come so far. Get well soon Robbie!!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8513007.stm

Nigel was just on the One Show and announced it. He must be so upset after putting in all that work and getting to final.

I have not watched this show till tonight, just because its not my kind of thing.
But .. is it me or is the camera work when they dance just stupid and annoying ?
I mean the camera flys around the studio, they keep cutting to different angles and you basically just miss what the performers are doing because your too busy swearing at the TV for jumping around so much.
Its annoying enough on X Factor but at least on that show its mostly about the sound not the on screen performance

Wow, that dance from Charlie and Drew was spellbinding. It choked me up and that doesn't often happen.
I think that has just won her the final.

well Im shocked Charlie wins .. who could of seen that comming Seriously I just tuned in for the first time ever to watch the show as there was nowt else on and within seconds you could just tell they wanted Charlie to win..... its the same old BBC nonsense that had Alex park win over Alister Griffin on Fame Acadamy 2 where they even had Daniel Bedingfield telling us to vote for Alex live on air in the final (the points of view web site was closed due to complaints on that one) and then the there was the LLoyd Webber fiasco where Webber inserted his own ringer Jade and made sure she won for the eurovision gig,...

Actually, I don't think they wanted Charlie to win right from the start tonight. They all said after last week's show that Tommy was phenomenal, and had been the most consistent dancer throughout the series. If anything, I think they wanted him to win. However, tonight Charlie was absolutely incredible - every single routine was executed flawlessly and with such passion and conviction that the judges were genuinely blown away - and so, based on tonight's performances, they were absolutely right to all agree that Charlie should win. Much as I loved Tommy right from the start, I think the right person absolutely won based on performances tonight. The Chicago routine and the lyrical routine with Drew ( ) were completely spell-binding. Best of luck to Charlie, and the other two finalists - I'm sure they'll all have great dance careers off the back of this show (and Robbie once his shoulder has healed). Also, a wee bit but it's responding to your earlier post - you mention Alex Parks beating Alistair Griffin in Fame Academy. I seem to remember at the time (hope I'm right...) it was revealed that Alex had beaten Alistair most weeks in the public vote in the run-up to the final. So really, Daniel Bedingfield's comments probably made little or no difference. Also, there's no proof that, as you said, "[The BBC] had Daniel Bedingfield telling us to vote for Alex" - it's entirely possible he said that without being told to, you know...

I watched the majority of the show but missed the ending! I see that Charlie won and as much as i thought she was excellent tonight, i really would have preferred Lizzie or Tommy to have won. What order did they come in? As for Robbie, i know he wasnt my favourite but i wouldnt wish that on anyone, he must be so gutted. I really hope he manages to heal quickly and not let this get him down too much.

I never said the BBC told Daniel to back Alex, it was obvious he did that off his own back and I dont blame him TBH as Alister & James had micknamed him Barnie as in off the flintstones behind his back on the live feed. What I am saying really is that Alister was too like the previous winner and the A & R guys just didn’t see him as a good winner for the series, the winner of course they had signed to support for the next year. where as Alex with her unique tone seemed to tick all their boxes. Thus only dedicated viewers of the show will remember the shows where Alex was made to sing in an Alister written and performed song because they didn’t want Alsiter to do it alone and the final where everyone praised how great Alex was includding the guest singer and even in the break between the sing off and the result show the only person the red button show interviewed was Alex … The points of view forum was closed for weeks post the end of the show due to complaints,, hence the end of the show as non cle

^ ^ I think most people base their opinions (and cast their votes) based on the performances and likeability (because there is an element of 'popularity contest' about these shows) of the contestants, rather than the judges' comments. And, if anything, judges 'bigging up' a contestant will have the opposite effect (i.e. people not voting for that person).
Having watched the show yesterday, I came to the conclusion that Charlie was, overall, the best performer on the night. So, by that criteria, her win was deserved. I could understand the complaints if Charlie had been the weakest, but she really stepped up to the mark and gave it her all! I liked all three finalists, so I wasn't bothered who won, but based on what I saw, I thought it was a fair result and in the correct order.

But what I`m saying is this.
I didn't watch any show pre the final - that's the case with a lot of the voters for a series final
I am virtually blind so I couldn't visually judge any dancer especially as the camera was flying around the studio most of the time.
But the comments, groupings and scheduling of the whole show told me Charlie was going to win from the get go based on my complete layman not knowing anything about dance the show or the contestants point of view.
I do think you are right thou, in the case of the X Factor a bigging up of an act by a judge can be counter productive, but on this show in particular the likes of Arlene where ramping up Charlie in the style that Meatloaf did in an American way on a show on Friday and this can hugely effect votes IMO and viewers can be guided into agreeing with an opinion.
But I agree from what Ive read elsewhere that Charlie was a deserved winner but I retain that sceptical view for ALL beeb talent shows especially those with Lloyd Webber in, that the winner of the show is picked weeks before the actual final by those that can arrange it. (jade)

I have watched the series from the beginning and I haven't felt that Charlie was the one they wanted to win. If they have bigged up anyone prior to last night I think it has been Tommy.
Until last night Charlie had never been one of my favourites, but I think she just blew the competition out of the water with her performances last night.
